I have a 2012 9.9 pro kicker on a 16' Crestliner. My top speed is 8mph. I know itll never get much more but when its only going 8 3 or 4 more would be a big difference. I tried different props and it only changed the rpms and the speed stayed the same. Seen where people has changed to a 15hp carb. Looks like the only way this could help is if id change the prop to a higher pitch. Ive never heard anyone mention changing anything but the carb. If the 9.9 turned the stock prop at top rpm the 15 could only run the same rpms so it looks like it would only help with more pitch where the 15 would have the power to turn it and the 9.9 dont.
