Unknown year 9.9 Evinrude rescue

The model identification tag is illegible. The serial number is G3038584. Can anyone tell me what year this engine is. Thank you for your help.
 
Hopefully this will help. I do know it has UFI. Thank you again

I imagine that parts for those three years are going to be the same. Correct? I rescued this engine from the recycling center. I have a “bad habit” of doing that. I am also a barn find junkie. The previous owner said it ran about five years ago and quit firing. I gave him $200 brought it home. Checked compression. 115 on both dry. . Little deep creep and mix oil in cylinders Looked it over. Disconnected kill switch black/yellow wire. Fired on fourth pull. Now carb and water pump kits along with thermostat. Man I love my OMC engines. 26 total. Thank you for your help and ear. Happy to be here.
 
Repaired the kill switch on a similar model recently.-----Made a wee plastic washer from a margarine tub.-----Worked like a charm again.
 
I have the lanyard clip. It still would not fire. Are you saying the washer you made goes between switch and metal? I appreciate you taking time to respond to me.
 
I forget just where it went.----But it was an easy and obvious fix.----Motor was for a friend to use at his camp 18 hr drive away.-----Had the confidence that it was a good fix.
 
Alrighty. I will investigate it further and see if I can figure it out. I will update the thread as soon as I can. Thank you again.
 
Got it figured out. Just added the “shim” to the kill switch. Goes between the button and switch stem.Now on to the carb,water pump and foot oil and sealing washers Thank you Racerone.
