Sounds like overheating fuel pump. put fuel pressure guage on it before and after I suspect pressure will be lower when this problem occurs

    BF150 won't start

Did you test for continuity on the fuel pump fuse not just look to see if it was burnt?

Honda BF 150 runs bad in gear

Before sending it off to a pro, get yourself a hand tank and some fuel line to connect to engine. Empty fuel water and low pressure cups on the engine and if the drain screw on the VST cooperates drain the fuel from the VST down the plastic straw. then attach a hand tank with fresh gas and some...

Honda 2004 BF 150 dead to me

if you accidently touch a battery terminal on your new batteries with wrong battery cable it will blow the 10amp red fuel pump fuse which will give you same symptoms you are describing. As mentioned look those over carefully and check with multimeter for continuity.

2006 Honda BF150 Fuel leak from Fuel pump cover on Vapor Separator

I removed fuel pump case from VST and unscrewed pump cover lid and swapped out the oring #14. Old O ring stayed flat did not spring back at all. Put it all back together, squeezed primer no leaks, energized pump no leaks, ran engine for couple minutes, shut down engine and tilted up (this...

2006 Honda BF150 Fuel leak from Fuel pump cover on Vapor Separator

Leak looks like it is coming out from under the pump cover #29 and the fuel pump case #27 so I'm replacing the oring #14 between the two of them, local dealer had one in stock. I will update post with findings.

2006 Honda BF150 Fuel leak from Fuel pump cover on Vapor Separator

I am helping a guy with a his 2006 BF150 with only 250hrs and see fuel leaking from the fuel pump cover on the vapor separator. The leak is not a pressurized stream like from a water pick, but dribbling out from fuel pump even when the key is turned off most notable when engine tilted up and...

2005 BF225 Water in #6 spark plug wet and O2 sensor filled with water, anyone ever have exhaust manifold cause this?

Follow up; Replaced 02 sensor and removed high pressure fuel pump from the VST and cleaned the screen below the high pressure pump, pump still tested low for fuel pressure but I put it back together while waiting for parts. Owner took the boat out over the 4th July weekend it made power to get...

    Stuck spark plug - BF150

Based on the picture It looks like you have corrosion on the threads of that plug. I suspect the #3 stuck plug has the same thread corrosion issue hence why its stuck. Also doesn't look like iridium plug, so once you do need to get it out you could pull exhaust manifold which only takes a few...

    Stuck spark plug - BF150

You don't say if the 3 plugs you pulled out were oem NGK IR IZFRBK11 plugs if it is? its an iridium plug run it to failure which will be a long time. Its to deep down to tube to be messing with, just spray little kroil or blaster but not so much you ground out the coil. Run the motor. let it...

2001 Honda bf225 not enough power to plane

Run it on hose for a bit, then pull 02 sensor which is real easy to get to and take out (can use 22 mm wrench to loosen it up first before it gets hot), see if its wet. If wet the water is also making it over to your airbox.

2005 BF225 Water in #6 spark plug wet and O2 sensor filled with water, anyone ever have exhaust manifold cause this?

Sea trial, still little hard starting not starting like normal Honda got to hold the key a bit, once running it revs smoothly in idle. Idling out runs fine but would not make power to get on plane Agree O2 sensor needs to be swapped out. Think any other items like IAC need to be swapped...

2001 Honda bf225 not enough power to plane

The water in lower left side next to #6 cyl of the airbox looks exactly like problem I'm working on with 2007 Honda 225. Engine runs but water getting pumped across and into airbox in that same spot next to #6 cylinder. Pulled that side exhaust and there was a corrosion hole on bottom of...

2005 BF225 Water in #6 spark plug wet and O2 sensor filled with water, anyone ever have exhaust manifold cause this?

Follow up on exhaust port patch repair. After patching the hole the engine is staying dry inside the combustion chamber but the engine still ran like crap. The water that had been getting in made its way to the injector and there was either salt or calcium deposits in the the injector chamber...

2005 BF225 Water in #6 spark plug wet and O2 sensor filled with water, anyone ever have exhaust manifold cause this?

Thanks for the suggestion, looked over TB and decided to pulled the port side exhaust manifold first check if it was something there causing it. Turns out there is a bb sized hole in head in the lower exhaust port just under the valve stem. WIth over 1600 hrs on the motor owner wants to go...

2005 BF225 Water in #6 spark plug wet and O2 sensor filled with water, anyone ever have exhaust manifold cause this?

I have been trying to help out a guy with BF225 2006 1600 hrs that runs but would not go up on plane. Connected DR H no codes. Tested ignition coils and injector with DR H could tell #6 was off so replaced #6 Coil and all the plugs ran great dry when I barked it. But with muffs on engine...

    Removing tilt/trim assembly

Since you have a metal transom you can unbolt one side of tilt bracket instead of hoisting the whole engine off the boat. Loosen big 32MM tilt shaft nuts on both sides, and use dead blow to hammer one side tilt bracket to spread open. It might chaff the transom but it won't crack or chip...

    2006 BF150 Water in oil

A hole in the head the engine will run like crap or not at all if you have a bad head and you will defialty get water on a plug, you can even see the water shooting out the spark plug hole when turning it over. When you pulled each spark plug did you see a droplet of water on any that would...

    2006 BF150 Water in oil

Your compression reading are too high to have bad head. the rust colored spark plug thru me off. Do you have actual rust on the plug or is the ceramic a rust color? Additives might cause the color change. I had a bad chain case gasket below the thermosates that will leak water into the...
