    Have you done a link and sync on the carbs? Make sure all the carbs are fully closed?

    Are you sure there's a problem? At Trolling speed the thermostat has more effect on cooling. As you go faster water pressure pushes the thermostat/popping valve off of the seat. What is the actual temp of the head. 10 seconds is a long time

    Put up a pic of the back of the head. A 92 would have an OC or OD in the serial #. 1985 probably won't have a thermostat.

    Shows 2 different gear cases depending if you have a 20 or 25" motor. Is your gearcase original? Maybe call SEI as they make both prop shafts.
