Decelerating issues

04 merc 25 two stroke. Rebuilt the carb. Starts, idles, and runs like new until I throttle back. Then it dies and I play hell getting it started again and then i have to limp and gimp back to the ramp. Any idea what's going on ?

Low speed screw too lean?
