    Alpha 1 gen 2 trim cylinder leak

    Leaking trim ram on a 98 mercruiser. Any tips or advice from someone who has done a few? Bleeding? Polishing pistons with 3m refinishing pads or fine sandpaper? I am a retired Auto Tech. Thanks,Bill

    I have a small gear oil leak that appears to be coming from the small vent hole above the prop on the left side. Any ideas what the problem is?

    Help on installing wear pads

    Hi I have a alpha 1 gen 2 . My right side wear pad is missing. My questions are how important are the wear pads and is it possible to install them while the boat is in the water. I tried to install the right side wear pad today while the boat is in the water and couldn't do it. Thanks,Bill

    Alpha 1 gen 2 plastic part identification help

    Hi folks trying to find out the name and where to buy this part online. It is a plastic piece mounted on the upper gear case in between that and the lower part of the gimble ring. Possibly so they don't rub? looking all over online and can't find them in any drawings. Thanks for the help,Bill

    Replacing gimble ring and bell housing help.

    Hi I have a Alpha 1 Gen 2 later style where the shift cable unscrews from the aft of the bell housing..I'm replacing my gimble ring and bell housing,pretty sure i understand the whole repair procedure but I'm not sure about what to do about the shift cable? Do I have to disconnect the the shift...
