    1992 Johnson VRO 60 HP not firing.

    Since the engine was running fine before the console rewiring, I'd focus on the ignition switch and wiring harness before suspecting anything mechanical. On those older Johnson outboards, the black/yellow kill wire is worth checking. If it's accidentally grounded, the engine can crank normally...
