    I have a 2005 2 cylinder 2 stroke 40hp Mercury outboard which is loosing oil from it's resevoir. I have unassembled and inspected the plastic tank and there are no leaks from the bottom outet or sight tube sites, the outlet hose to the oil pump is not leaking but have not yet pulled the oil pump...

    Hi all, just bought a boat with the above motor. On the tag is says Model Number is 40PTO and S/N 0P368374 It actually is electric start with power tilt so is should be ELPTO? I am having trouble finding the specs, a manual or parts list. Any ideas or safe links would be appreciated. Thank you...
