    Thank you for that and if the lower is rusted how do I go about removing it if I cannot select the f gear And as far as the tiller goes do I just start undoing things till it frees up ?

    I would love some advice I picked up a 1973 6hp Johnson for nothing but it has a stuck gear lever if I need to drop the lower how do I go about undoing the linkage nut if the gear selector won’t move Second issue is that the tiller handle is stuck and doesn’t move at all All help greatly...
