    Correction, the boat's leads WERE on the battery, I was presuming there was a short between the two so went to jump it. So the terminal WAS hot when I touched the (ungrounded) lead to the post.

    Hi, New to forum. Two years ago, my wife's cousin (who lives next door) bought himself a new pontoon boat....gave us his prior boat. So I know the history, Know that "when he parked it, it worked" LAST summer, did nothing with it. Decided to get it working this spring. Hook up battery...
