    Actually this video shows how to do it the right way. I ended up doing it this way.

    I did the same thing. Pop off the top cover which will be 4 10mm head bolts and then you will see the assembly connected to the cover. I reached underneath the yellow piece and slid the metal ring back into its spot and re tightened it. Seems to be working now
