    I have a 1979 OMC 230 motor, model 990254S and I am trying to determine the correct horsepower rating. Some websites tell me it's 230hp, while others say 114hp. Does anyone know, or can you direct me to a resource where I can do some more research? Also, is this motor a Chevy or a Ford? Thanks. JoeF
