    BF200 Tilt Motor problem

Try Yumbo.jp, OE Honda parts if they have them.

Running issue with 2008 BF225 with 1000 hours.

My 1999 130 has been very sensitive to an overheat alarm at cold startup after I did a major vinegar flush. A small chunk of salt seemed to appear and trigger an alarm. Most times on restart, it worked fine, sometimes I had to clear the telltale outlet of a small chunk. The issue went away after...

How clean or dirty was the thermostat when you changes it?

Honda 5HP (BF5A) Leaking Oil When Tilted

If you lay any 4 stroke down on the wrong side, motor oil leaks out. It may say on the side of the OB which side is up, as Marc said, if not check your owner’s manual. Usually the side with the control arm goes up iirc.

BF115A Honda 115 Four Stroke Stuttering/Cutting Out At High RPM

And I just remembered there is one available with a clear bottom in the screw on filter, you can see the dirt or water without removing the filter.

Do you have a fuel water separator spin on filter for the tank? Get one if you don’t. Dump that into a clear plastic bottle and let it settle out, check for dirt.

BF115A Honda 115 Four Stroke Stuttering/Cutting Out At High RPM

Sounds like a fuel restriction is the first thing to check. What year is this 115? The 1998 to about 2004ish are different technology than later 115’s. The older units usually came with a sticker saying they meet 2006 emissions, that factory sticker is on my 1999. Check and or change all...

    BF20D still struggles to start.

Good advice to keep the old one and all the parts and good job figuring it out and posting the solution here. I worked on a friends 9.9 Yamaha 2 stroke, needed some small carb parts, found a carb on Amazon for $17. I didn’t bother using the new Chinese carb, just used the parts off it that I...

    Bf 200

My 1999 130 has probably triggered the overheat alarm more than 20 times since I owned it, on my IR gun it triggered sometimes at 160f when flushing. It was usually a minor issue, the sensor is very sensitive to a tiny bit of dirt. I’ve started it cold in the bay, it can trigger an alarm after...

BF225 - Tips for removing propshaft holder?

I also use a block of hardwood on things like this on the area of the joint and tap it around the circumference, it can shock the locked joint and the wood won’t damage the metal.

BF225 - Tips for removing propshaft holder?

I have no idea if acetone will affect paint, when mixed with oil, I’ve only used it in unpainted situations. Msds on both acetone and aerokroil shows a lot of volatile chemicals. Try the acetone/oil as a last resort but I’m thinking if you are patient, it will come apart. The aluminum builds up...

BF225 - Tips for removing propshaft holder?

The old cars guys use a 50/50 mix of automatic transmission fluid and acetone to unstick seized pistons. Use the pink transmission fluid, say dextron, and soak the unit in a container for a couple of days. Use this and follow jgmo’s advice on tapping etc.
