    Getting my 20 running again!!

No. Not saying that. Just that what l had previously described as a sleeve or bushing, was the inboard end of the main emulsion tube projecting up into the carb throat. It was stuck hard initially (hence my question whether it was fixed) but after a sonic clean and some dismantling oil it...

    Getting my 20 running again!!

Mystery solved. It looked like a fixed bushing but after a sonic bath some dismantling lubricant and managing to get pressure from a wrench (one jaw on the end of the slow tube and one jaw on the outside end of the main tube that houses both jets) it squeezed out as a pair. The slow jet needs...

The slow jet tube, when unplugged from the top end with the O ring will go as far as the sleeve at the bottom face of the carb throat but it won’t go through that sleeve. I dont know if that “sleeve” is just the end...

    Getting my 20 running again!!

Hi. Thank you for your reply. Yes I removed the plug. I can slide the slow jet partly out. Then the shoulder at the other end (to the right of the O ring in the other photo) bumps into the brass fitting which is at the bottom of the carb throat when it is the right way up. That fitting looks v...

    Getting my 20 running again!!

Hi. First post so I don’t know if I should be joining this chat or starting a new one. Please put me straight. I have been cleaning my BF20D carb. But I can’t remove the main emulsion tube and the slow jet emulsion tube. It looks and feels like the tube they sit inside is pressed into the carb...
