    Mercury outboard not running.

    Pump installed per directions ...gas line in / gas line out ...bolted correctly to engine block ( with gasket on back ) . remove outlet tube (to carbs) pump primer , gas comes thru. Old one worked fine last year till end of season . Was running full throttle and engine slowed down till it quit...

    Hey Guys: I have Mercury Pro Series outboard 40hp 2 stroke ( 4cyl ) 2 carb. 1996 model. Mother in excellent condition: Problem..no gas to carbs. . Replace fuel line & primer bulb. All fuel lines around motor. NEW fuel pump. Still getting no gas to engine. Use Starting fluid , cranks up fine ...
