I will try some CRC. The part of the boat it is mounted on isn't that solid so I had to pry a little get get it out. Knowing from your help, it only had to move 1/4" helped. Mine does not have a button to push just the lock out so it doesn't go into gear. Thanks again.
Thanks, That worked but I had to pry on it a little. Is there something I could spray on it to free it up a little? I have a little plastic tool that I will keep in the glove box now that I know exactly what it is supposed to do. Thanks again!
I purchased a 1986 Bayliner Capri with a Volvo Penta 2.3L outboard. When starting it I can't seem to get it into the position where I can warm up the engine when starting. Some said to pull the shifter out then it will allow to throttle is up without being in gear. I can't seem to get it to do...
