    drained gear oil was black, no metal or water or rust. Replaced the gear Lube. How would i lube bearings to free them up, penetrating oil to free them? How to get to the bearings without tearing engine apart? Any easy way to get this accomplished would be appreciated.

    Ser# OD281949 of engine. Not sure of year. Ran fine then stopped running. Found some water in gas , drained fuel line, cleaned out and rebuilt carburetor. Then tried to start then rope pull issue. Like i said no issue with plugs out but when in unable to pull rope fully and flywheel hard to...

    i am unable to get pull rope of mercury outboard to pull out without stopping on manual start outboard. With the plugs out the rope pulls fine not with plugs on. I removed the manual pull start to find the same when trying to turn the flywheel. With plugs out ok with plugs in unable to turn...
