    Very easy motor to work on, get a carb kit (oem) and replace the water pump. After that long in storage it's the least you should do.

    Yes Permatex avation form a gasket is very similar and will work fine.

    The ecu controls the max RPM which i think is 6000 on the 20hp it also controls the fueling., Different part #'s so i would think it is necessary.

    Most likely the turbo is leaking into the cooler, pull the insert and see if it's covered with oil.

    I had some fishing line around the shaft and wanted to check behind the thrust holder to make sure the seal is clear.

    M8B thrust holder is stuck on the prop shaft, any tips for removal? This is a salt water motor and it seems to be corrosion holding it on.

    Move the boat out of the garage ASAP! Check the vent hose on top of the tank.

    I had a similar problem on my 41B and it turned out to be the oil feed to the rocker shaft, 2 O rings. Run the motor with the back valve cover removed and look for excess oil coming up from the rear of the head. What happens is the oil floods the rear valve cover and spills out of the breather...
