Looking for info on Evinrude Johnson freeze plug number

Trying to find out what year this 140HP Evinrude Johnson outboard is.

Freeze Plug SN: G3984419

Thanks in advance for any insight into the age of this engine.

The cowling is not original, this is a 140 HP Johnson that replaced the original 120. I can get a picture of it but I don't think it would be useful. The only identifying feature I can find is that freeze plug number. Maybe someone can tell my engine what year or roughly what year it is

Do you see the Serial and Model number stamped on the transom bracket? Could you post a picture?

After reviewing your ignition system and comparing it to the diagram, it appears your Evinrude matches between 1988-1994 Evinrude 140hp models.
