Hi, I’m converting my boat from a tiller to a center console with forward controls. I got a 704 control box. My question is is there any diagram that shows the 10 pin harness at the engine? I’m having a little trouble figuring out which wires go to what. I know they’re mostly color-coded, but there’s a few that I can’t figure out.

Green = tachometer signal
Red = battery positive
Black = battery negative
Pink = battery positive for buzzer
White = kill switch
Grass green = trim down
Sky blue = trim up
Blue = choke
Yellow = key on battery positive
Brown = choke

Thanks for the help. Yes I know it uses a 7 pin but all of the aftermarket 704’s were ten pins harnesses. I thought I would just leave the trim/tilt wires unplugged.

Yes, I know it it originally came with a seven pin connector. All the aftermarket 704 control boxes use the 10 pin harness. I thought I could just leave the trim tilt disconnected. also on my starter solenoid I have a brown wire running in with a male bullet connector and the 10 pin harness has a brown wire with a female bullet connector. Isn’t this the neutral start switch wire that runs to the starter solenoid?

My bad. The brown wire is for the key switch to the starter motor relay.

The neutral safety switch opens the brown wire circuit if the throttle handle is not in the correct position to start the motor.
