Linc/ Sync 1983 merc 800, 4 cyl

What's the proper way to link/ sync the carbs/ ignition advance on my 1983 Merc 800 4 cylinder?

Unfortunately , I think someone was inside the cowling messing around. There were a couple of " stop" bolts loose, and the engine is difficult to cold start. Sounds great when you finally get it started

Load test your battery.----Inspect starter motor.----Are you holding choke on while cranking it over?---Start your trouble shooting with a compression test.----Post the actual values here.
