About to get a new boat

Hello I'm completely new to boats and I am about to get a murkery xr2. I know nothing about it. What tips can you guys give me and what are some things to know. I'm a mechanic but on heavy duty diesels.

An XR2 is a pretty old engine, like mid to late 1980's with a lot of outdated electronics and a number of NLA parts. I'd keep looking.

Ha....wife has a 150. It's a beast....non oxy only, brother. If it's had ethanol used in it....I would follow Fitz.
