Hello,
I own a 2005 Beneteau Flyer 701 equipped with a Volvo Penta KAD32P.
I am currently troubleshooting my tachometer and I am first trying to determine whether the instrument is original Volvo Penta equipment or a replacement unit installed by a previous owner.
The rear terminal layout does not appear to match several wiring diagrams that I have found online.
I have attached photographs of the front, rear and wiring connections.
Could anyone help identify:
• the manufacturer and model of this tachometer; • whether it is original Volvo Penta equipment; • the function of terminals 1 through 8; • the correct +12V, ground and alternator signal connections; • any available wiring diagrams or installation manuals.
The tachometer occasionally behaves erratically and I would like to verify that all wiring connections are correct before investigating further.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Johan Schandevyl Belgium
