I have a 270 in my 25' pacemaker. I put a new long block in her after putting a new water pump (circulating) from NAPA. at low speeds the temps are fine but if I get above 3000 rpm the temp rises upwards to 200, 210 degrees. When I slow down the temp drops back down to 170 or so.
I have been doing some reading and I am wondering if I have the wrong pump rotation. I see there are multi directional pumps out there and am wondering if tat would make a difference. The raw water pump has great flow so I have ruled it out. Any thoughts?

The LH rotation engines are the most common and will likely tolerate an auo style stamped impeller in the circulating pump just fine...

RWC or FWC on the 'new' long block?
