1979 Evinrude 115 has no spark what's the first part I should buy?

No spark on my 1979 outboard 115 Evinrude what part should I buy to fix it ?

Checked kill switch ?----Did it quit while running ?-----New to you motor?-----Ran ok last season?-----Any history?-------Take starter apart and inspect it.----Ohm check on armature.-----No beer tokens spent so far.-----Your method get expensive in a hurry.-----Testing is the path forward !-----Charge battery and have it load tested.

The shop manual says to first try unplugging the kill switch wire at the motor. Likely a black wire with a yellow stripe.
