90 tohatsu TLDI 3 flashing lights

Hello,

I’m at a loose end with my 90hp tohatsu TLDI, when I turn the engine on I have 3 lights flashing, the engine will start but keeps flashing. When I go into the diagnostics it tells me that the TPS 2 idle Position incorrect.

What I have done,

New 1000cca battery
set the TPS numerous times following the manual as getting the correct beeps
checked the TPS readings (all seem within tolerance) with a multimeter
checked the wires for the TPS to ECU for continuity

Does anyone have an idea or am I missing something. Looking at buying a new TPS sensor.

What actual model? What diag mode? what ohms are the tps sensors?

It's a 90 Tohatsu TLDI MD90B, the diagnostics through the gauges and control box, I cannot remember the actual numbers but they did fluctuate and then settle at between the stated numbers in the manual. I have now bought a TPS sensor to eliminate the TPS.

I just came across this thread. I am dealing with the exact same thing on my 2006 NSD90B. Did either of you guys ever figure it out.
Please advise, I'm stuck!!
