Bogs and stalls when put in gear. 2001 Yamaha 50 HP TLRZ, 2 stroke.

This motor worked perfectly about a month ago on a 3 hour fishing trip and now will only work with the choke in the open position. It starts and idles down perfectly while in neutral. This choke is the 3 position red tab that has 3 positions Normal/Open and Closed. I have fuel all the way to the carbs and the bowls are full. I pulled the carbs and they were clean with no blockage. The pump or ball in the fuel line stays hard. I use only Ethanal free gas. Timing and other settings have not changed. It will go into gear and run with choke in Open position. Spark plugs are good and all fire just fine. It acts as though I get fuel all the way from fuel tank to the carbs and no further. Compression on all cylinders is around 126. What to check next?
 
That is not a choke. It is an automatic fuel enrichment device. Known as Primestart.

Has the device been tested according to the service manual procedure?

I suspect the carburetors need cleaning. Best if a heat ultrasonic cleaner is used. Then verify that all orifices and passageways are free and clear.
 
Well I solved the problem but did not find the issue. I pulled the #2 carb with the Primestart and tested it and it had 3.2 ohms and the needle moved to just over 1/8 of an inch. It retracted fully so no issues there. I remembered I had an extra #2 carb with Primestart in a box from working on this motor several years ago so I decided to put that on the engine and rule out #2 carb and Primestart as being the problem. Put the old carb on and the engine runs like it should. Now to find the issue with the 2 year old carb that worked fine a month ago but now bogs down when put in gear.
