2002 Merc 200 EFI Won't run past IDLE speed

I think it's an electrical problem like it's going into limp mode but there are no alarms going off on Smart Gauge. Idles fine but when advancing speed it won't go over about 1100 RPM and where all kinds of knocking occurs like it's cutting spark and won't advance past it.
I installed six brand new ignition coils and 6 new wires, tried three sets of sparkplugs, fuel filters look good, spark is jumping from boot to plug really well on drop test (when wires pulled off and back on). Compression is 125 in every cylinder. Fuel pump is one year old and is putting out 45psi at idle. I'm running it in a water tank now (not muffs) and water pumps great and temps are great. It was running perfectly when I docked it the day before the problem showed. Next day I mistakenly left the key on for about 15 minutes with the engine off. Then I started it and thought all was good. It was good until I tried to get on plane and it just wouldn't rev or go.
I'm going through the service manual looking for clues but man, this one is stumping me.
I do have twin engines so I can also try moving parts from one to the other. I Appreciate any diagnosis help here. If anyone knows of a Merc EFI two stroke guru near me that can fix this for his fees that's cool too.
