    I really need help 86 stringer 800 won't engage in forward but engages in reverse I disconnect thick double cable that goes to drive ulled long cable it goes in reverse but pulling short cable doesn't do any thing long cable moves a fair distance short cable doesn't travel to far

    I have a 86 beechcraft 192s my stringer 800 will engage in reverse but not in forward the motor is a v8 5.0 chevy 305 I removed flat cable to drive pulled into reverse but won't move enough to engage in forward is this cable bad
