    I bought, rebuilt, and installed power tilt and trim for my '75 85 hp Johnson. Am I supposed to use or remove the thrust tilt adjustment rod?

    '78 Evinrude 6 HP Piston Wear

    I picked up a poorly running '78 6 hp. Compression is 50-55. Cylinders are 1.9385, Pistons are 1.934. Do you think I can clean these up and reuse them? I'll just be using it as a kicker.

    1988 Johnson 6hp lower unit

    I need to ship a 1988 6hp lower unit. Shift rod and driveshaft are not needed. I've never had one of these apart before. Can I pull the shift rod and driveshaft and ship it? Will things fall out place?

    Johnson 9.5 hp mystery ports

    The parts motor on the right (attached pic) is an early model. The later model on the left (1968) has two ports that the early one does not have. The PO connected them with the yellow hose. Does anyone know what they are? Should they be open or connected? Thanks Scott
