    Volvo 7.4

You have power to the red/purple wire at the key, but when you turn the key ON all power is gone, correct? What is the voltage reading at the Battery and at the Key? If this is correct start at the Battery and start cleaning the cables at both ends until every thing is shinny metal. Next go to...

Recommended Coolent for 7.4 TBi FWC

Overheat is always one of two things. Not enough flow of raw water thru HE or something is displacing coolant as in blown head gasket or such. Keeping heat below limits is not hard, but if there is a head gasket leak it produces bubbles into the coolant side. The air bubbles reduce the amount...

Recommended Coolent for 7.4 TBi FWC

It's not the type of coolant unless you or another has mixed types together Have you rodded out the heat exchanger (HE)? Go to the hardware store and get some clear hose, barbed fittings and a few hose clamps. Place a short piece of hose where raw water enters and where the raw water exits the...

    Kamd42a running rough and stalling

Diesels are pretty simple machines, if they get fuel they will run. Give them more fuel then fully burns you get smoke, give them to little and they don't run very well and low power and no smoke. Your issue sounds like not enough fuel. Start with the fuel filter, dump the contents into a clear...

Installing new saddle tanks on my 22' cruiser would like less stern weight

Is the arrow on the bulb facing toward the filter? Are you sure the bulb works? Also do the fuel valves installed have check valves in them? Normally the pointer on the valve points toward the motor not the Tee or filter

I cannot read the pic, print is to small. With it that low need to test fuel pump and regulator. Can place a valve on the line going back to the fuel filter and with pressure gauge on the rail start closing off the valve slowly. Turn the key off/on to have the pump cycle. If you get up to 50...

1990 4.3 mercruiser - power steering leak at cooler.

Have you felt around on the cooler? I have one just like it on the shelf with a 1/4 plug on the bottom of one end. If you have room you could put in one of these p/n 861505

1990 4.3 mercruiser - power steering leak at cooler.

It's feasible but not recommended. Folks in south Texas woke up one day with temps way below what they have ever seen before. Need full strength RV antifreeze to protect or no water at all. If you pour real antifreeze into the hose it will mix with the water and have better protection, but...

1990 4.3 mercruiser - power steering leak at cooler.

If your cooler is like the one kghost posted on ebay, it's most likely just the hose, and if so can cut the end off and reclamp

    DF115 Temperature Light-No Alarm

No expert on a Suz but most computer controlled motors don't use anything on the gauge cluster and means nothing to the ECM. The gauge cluster is for you and it has sensors and switches that are not used by the ECM, the ECM uses different sensors. My guess is the Temp switch has gone bad
