    Thanks chalk man. I’m used to tighter tolerances in a bushing like that. I just figured since I’m rebuilding the whole lower drive unit that I would just replace everything. At least when i put it back together I can have peace of mind that I don’t have to worry about anything. Thanks again, G

    This is a long shot. Trying to find what the wear limit sizes are on the vertical shaft where the bronze bushing goes in the extension case . There is nothing in the service manual . Right now I have a difference of .008 which to me is a lot. I was thinking somewhere around .002 clearance...

    My suggestion for what it’s worth. Since you have it apart I would lap them and check them with high spot “prussion blue”. It doesn’t take long and at least you know it’s correct. Just my thoughts.

    If I understand you correctly the inner seal is meant to keep gear oil in , therefore the seal should be installed with the solid surface outward. The outer seal should be installed the opposite with the solid surface of the seal inward to prevent water from entering the case. Does that make...

    I haven’t seen any under 100. The problem is how do you know if the vacuum is any good? Everything is good on mine except the vacuum diaphragm. So for 40 bucks I fixed mine. Glad you made out.

    Sorry about that . 1995 to 2000 Acura legend. Also I did check Rock Auto. Every place I have looked the part is listed as obsolete or discontinued. Believe me I have exhausted my search. I have been looking every night for weeks.
