    Recently acquired a 1978 mercury 115hp straight 6. Trigger is bad. Cant get flywheel off—looking to order the puller. Anyone have the part number? Haven’t been able to find a mercury repair manual either—if anyone has a source for that also would appreciate it. Thanks!

    Mercury 115HP outboard serial number damaged

    I just bought an old mercury 115HP straight 4 cylinder (2 stroke). It's been sitting for awhile so I need some basics to refresh it. Trouble is, the serial number tag on the transom mounting bracket doesn't seem to have a number printed on it, though the tag does look original. Very strange...
