    anyone know the length I should set the spark advance link before setting the timing?

    89 Mercury 20hp no spark

    the stator didn’t pass a resistance test so I replaced that but still no spark. Went to the switch box and replaced that and still no spark. Haven’t checked the ignition coils yet but not really sure how to. I don’t have a manual multimeter and I’ve been told it’s almost needed to work on these...
