    Honda BF150 2009 on a Honda 2000 controller...will it work?

    I bought a 2009 Honda BF150a for my 25 year old boat that has a 2000 Honda controller. The 15-pin connector connects, but the old one had a 3-pin (I assume for the temp, oil, etc), New one has a 6-pin connector. When I jump the 3 old wires to the matching new wires, nothing happens. QUESTION...
