    I'm with you on google AI (grain of salt) Thanks for the ebay link. It looks like that's a match. It is ready to rebuild with no gaskets. It would be about 250 to get here where i am. I guess i could hope my fuel pump plate is bad and this used one would fix it. Original would be about 650...

    I have what as best as i can find is a 1993 8hp mariner motor serial od128109 It seems to be in very good condition with great compression and the bottom and has been well cared for. I just rebuilt the carb with a full kit ,new fuel tank and had problems with fuel flooding the butterfly...

    I have an older mariner 8 hp 2 stroke sh shaft.( mid 80s ?)all in all runs well. But I am having a fuel issue. I was able to get fresh fuel up to the filter and into the carb.Motor pulls over great and runs with choke on full( idles pretty high) When the choke is pushed in the motor dies...
