    Have a 1996 mercury Tracker that while cranking Bendix bounces up and down. Won't stay fully engaged. 96, 25EL, 0G309267, 2 new starters, new solenoid, new battery, 12.4 battery volts, 10.5 cranking volts. Any ideas some say nature of the beast. Has full engagement of teeth.

    Curious why do new updated part number that superceded have more magnets than original flywheels? 25 hp Mercury 2 Stroke Sn# 0G6309267, 25EL yr. 1996. And if I install a 4 magnet on a motor that originally came with only 2 magnets, does it hurt anything.

    96 25hp mercury Tracker, sn OG309267. Flywheel. Noisy not engaging like it should. Bendix gear seems to have too much play back and forth. Ringear feels like sharp edges too and bottom you can feel running your finger over them. Can't send post video???

    Ok I know the (LS) low side coil is open circuit and it controls the idle to about 2000 rpm if I'm understanding the system. So if it's open I won't get any spark to either primary coil correct.

    Yes all good manual has 5-6 psi running. Think it's the tps. But no one has ever changed on I guess can't get an answer on how to do it. Trying to find out if the throttle body has to be removed so you can preset the tps to .25- 1.0 v??? TPS won't go on with throttle body in air silencer box.

    Can anyone tell me do have to remove intake and throttle body in order to install a new TPS on a 2010, Mercury 60hp, 4 stroke engine. Can't index TPS with throttle body in place . TPS won't turn far enough to slip over shaft and pre load sensor to the .25-1.0 volts at idle they want.
