    If you can have the motor scanned for codes it would identify real fast It could be the drive lube, low oil pressure or Temp.     Verado's need strong power, do you have a AGM battery attached and what voltage is measured at rest and while cranking? My V8 Verado service manual states 9.5V minimum and should be higher is needed on the stop circuit, also the lanyard switch is normally open and grounds when activated

    Guessing the motor uses DTS system, providing a serial number will verify? The signal to shift into gear happens but increasing throttle is not. Might be a bad connection on throttle control or motor. Are you getting anything show up on vessel view or hear any beeps when moving throttle?
