    I did remove the carburetor and ran it through a sonic parts cleaner. Prior to that it would always stall out on me and wouldnt stay running. Now no problems, except for runnin lean. Cooling system is good.

    The reason im thinking it is lean, i removed the spark plugs and they did not look good and it pings at half throttle but when i give full power it goes away and there is a film of fuel on the water.

    Can anyone tell me from this pic where's the mixture screw is? The top screw on upper left is for choke the screw under i thought was for idle adjustment.

    2011Merc 20hp Carburetor removal

    Hello boaters, im wanting to remove the carb off 2011 20hp merc. I believe its only 2 bolts holding it in place. Removed one but, cant get get a wrench to the second bolt. Anybody have an idea? I've tried removing the flywheel doesnt budge. Any tips would be appreciated.

    My 20hp mercury dies after running for about 10secs and also smokes a little bit. Thers also some fuel that gives off a rainbow effect on the water. Took off the regulator and blew through one end and air flows through but,not the opposite side, it appears to be fine. Just cannot understand why...
