    Anyone ever used home vinyl floor for boat floor?

    Got a cheap 1984 alumacraft. Wood floor is still surprisingly good. No rotting. I want to replace the carpet (worn out) with a water proof floor such as vinyl. Checked out marine vinyl, but a bit on the expensive side. Thinking about using house vinyl floor for the boat floor. Anyone done...

    Crap.. just leaked tested again. The bearing housing is cracked. 3-4 hairline cracks around the inside. Time to bust out the welding machine since this part is no longer available

    Lower unit oil is milky white. Plugged lower drain plug and screwed a leak test (with a gauge) hose on the top hole. Sent about 10 psi through the hole and noticed that air is leaking from the exhaust. Confirmed it with soap water. The prop shaft seal is good. Outboard is a jonhson 50 HP...
