    Found a broken ground. All my accessories work now but not my tacho. Tacho is aftermarket saas tacho that is compatible with a 4 cylinder as the original tacho is broken

    4 Cylinder. S/N: 2717558. Yes I’m fully aware of what a HIN number is, I had to get one put on my boat, when I did that’s when the boat tech told me what year the motor was. I asked him if he was able to find out because I was curious

    When I got a HIN number on my boat the tech looked it up and that’s what he told me. When I was looking up wiring diagrams for the engine harness I searched for 1975 and it was correct

    Hello, I recently got my outboard running however when it goes into F or R gears it makes a whining noise. it doesn't make that noise when it goes out of gear though. any advice? linked is a video of it so its not just my words trying to explain what it sounds like.
