    Honda BF75 "Making Oil" – Need Help with Thermostat in Cold Climate

    Reading this, I'm wondering if because your water is so much colder, wouldn't it be more prudent to put a much lower temp thermostat in? Being that it seems that your engine isn't heating the water fast enough to keep the thermostat open?

    Where can you get the seal for the oil fill? I noticed after starting mine up that there was a bit of oil leaking from that area and then the water mixed into the engine oil
