    I dn't think think a 10K resistor is going to help, especially when its connections are described. And I don't believe the condensor is having an adverse impact on the tach. See if you can get an oscilloscope from the same source you got the signal generator from...and then see what appears on...

    assuming the tachs are good, I would suspect some aspect of the interconnecting wires .... the tachometer model number(s) for the replacements would be good to have for those of us not present...

    You can normally remove the gear with the rear of the engine supported...as long as there is enough space to move the gear away from the engine until the input shaft comes free of the damper plate...

    I wouldn't set your bar too high regarding the spade connectors...there is really no need for a 'high temperature' version...which ever ones you pick, make sure the crimp tool used will work with the connectors you select.

    If you think the problem is fuel delivery related, I'd say get a fuel pressure gauge and connect it to the fuel line in front of the carb...then get it a few test passes hitting your noted (above) trouble spots and monitor the gauge...it should be pretty constant....

    I would also check to make sure the ground wire (BLK) at that relay is in good shape as well...If both check out, change the relay...if that is the case, replace the remaining relays, too (or at least have spares on the boat)...

    should have the MEFI-3 ECU. Routine timing adjustments should not be necessary as there are no <physical> wear parts that require recurring maintenance. The ECU will adjust ignition timing based on the operating conditions it measures. With the ECU control, there is no need for the timing...

    I believe you would be better off just replacing the filter head...you need a flat surface for the gasket to seal againstand what is there doesn't look promising from the picture...I doubt its cost effective to even try it on a mill...

    I would be skeptical of the larger lugs...no QC in the advertisement so why would you expect it in the product. The wire used is NOT tinned so, if you plan to use it, having tinned lugs on the ends may not matter much. The strands appear on the larger end so handling that wire may be...
