04 Evinrude 175HP difficulty removing timing cover

04 Evinrude 175HP difficulty removing timing cover.

I suspect the optical sensor is none functioning would like to remove an replace.

I’ve broke the top bolt loose holding the timing cover which seams to be jammed on.

Squirted a little wd40 on a few hours ago an it’s still jammed on.

Any suggestions on removing the cover it’s real flimsy an I certainly don’t want to break it. Thanks for advice.

Fazbullet you where right it broke while I was beating on the brass in hopes of expanding it off the cranksnout I was able to expoxt it back.
Replaced optical sensor an power pack Still no spark? She did try to start so it’s a bit of an improvement.
