Hi Guys,
I asked a question a few days ago on this motor. I'm replacing the top crankshaft bearing because of a chatter the bearing is causing. Spoke to one guy and he said that it is possibly that the crankshaft has also been worn due to the bearing. How do I go about finding out if the crankshaft is spent. Is it a "mike" reading I need to do? and if so what are the tolerances? Help appreciated.

Tony

Yes, you are going to have to "mike" it. I don't have a manual available right now, but maybe someone will come along with the specs for you.

you need to Micrometer the journal .....
I find using my Digital Micrometer is the easiest.....
I have one of these motors... and I still do not have a manual... SORRY.....
I will be watching to see if someone had the specs for you....
once you get the specs.. don't forget to respond back and let us
know what you found out...... if you don't have the micrometer I am sure
one of the local Machine Shops would help you " Mike " it lol
GOOD LUCK.
