1998 mercruiser 5.0

I have a 1998 30' cruiser with twin 5.0 digital fuel injection.my starboard engine has a issue. Engine runs fine, but will not fire up if you do not hear the fuel pump running. Fuel pump was replaced in 2023 for a leak, I have replaced both engine system relay & fuel pump relay, engine will start for a few times & run like it is designed to. When the fuel pump does not cycle if I remove the engine system relay & reinstall it fuel pumps runs again for a few times & will act up again. I have added additional ground to fuel pump, checked all wiring & am wondering if the problem is the ECM. I have owned this boat since new & engines have about 1300 HRS. I hope some one may have answers to the problem ,I am a retired Master mechanic & maintain all of my equipment. I hired a company to come to the boat and scan the engine when this first started. And they scanned as best as you can on this system, the told me it was the relay, which was replaced when they were there. I put all floor plates & carpet down & went to leave the slip & that engine would not start, no fuel pump running. I have contacted Mercruiser & was told the common problem was the relay base & supplied me with part number which I ordered & received the part only to find out it was the wrong base, so just to follow their recommendation went to parts house & got correct base & installed, engine started a couple of time like before & then would no start, Lookingfor some advise Thanks Bruce

I’d also look at the fuse holder wiring for the fuel pump
