2000 25hp Johnson 3 cylinder

My motor was only running on 2 cylinders. It was the bottom coil. So I changed it with a used one I had here. Just went out tonight and tried it out and it was fine. Then we were trolling and it sounded different. So I opened it up and same thing it was running on 2 cylinders again. What would be causing it to be blowing coils. Would a bad plug wire do it?

Also in one of the top holes right below were the lower unit bolts on there's a bunch of black that ran down the side of the motor. I tried to post a picture of that but it says image is too big.

I think it was just unburned fuel
