2001 Honda outboard Tiller conversion

I converted my remote 2001 Honda BF50A1 outboard into a tiller using the 06531-ZV3-U01ZA tiller handle kit with no issues. Now I want to trade that small tiller handle for the big tiller handle so I bought the 06533-ZW4-H56ZA tiller handle kit. I know that the catalog says that this handle only works for A4 model year and subsequent but I read on another post on this site that someone used that kit on an A3 with no issues. The problem I am running into is that I cant find a connection on the outboard for the large wire harness that the big tiller handle has. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you!
