4.3l throttle linkage

hello,

inherited a problem child so let me tell you my next step.

boat had a 4.3l two bl carb. now has rebuilt 4.3l with 4bl carb. the momentary shift cable bolted up fine. the throttle cable is not gonna work as is. looked at the old bracket and it is nowhere close to this setup.

any help as to if I need a bracket or a different cable would be appreciated.

And it looks like that is a cable used on outboards and it looks like OMC 479 type ,you need the mercrusier 600A type

hey bud , I'm in the same "boat" did you find a bracket that woks. same motor with holly 600 .

To use a holley square bore carb you need to hack up the original cable bracket and make it work.. done this to use a Holley "gold" carb when troubleshooting spread bore carb issues
