440 ignition choices

Helping friends with a 440 powered Century Coronado. Would like to convert to a whole new distributor but its a reverse rotation engine and Pertronix doesn't offer one. So. I guess we'll do a conversion. But if the old dist isn't serviceable is there a source for a replacement? Also we still need a new cap. The automotive one is different.

The old Chrysler M440's are unique beasts...

Mallory used to offer a special order distributor for the reverse rotation M440's - don't know if holley still offers it since they now own the brand.

I'd say the safest bet is to find somebody with a distributor machine to rebuild the factory one... may have to ship it out as that niche has a shrinking customer base....stock car racing associates can usually point you in the right direction...I think pertronix still makes the conversion kit for the points...you can always call them and ask
